What is a Lip Dub?
A Lip Dub is a one shot video in which ASB/ITV travel around the school featuring all staff and students on campus. During the process there are also selected students and some staff lip syncing to an upbeat and catchy song. This year’s song is 24K by Bruno Mars.
Why are we doing this?
The goal of the Lip Dub is to feature EVERY student and staff member at IHS in the effort to promote school wide unity.
When and how are we filming the Lip Dub?
On Lip Dub Day (November 14th), your 4th period teacher will take attendance and dismiss you to report to the location you want to represent. Once the Lip Dub filming is done, you will go back to your 4th period class.
What do students and staff do while in your Lip Dub position
When the camera comes to you, dance! Cheer! Go crazy, but do all that QUIETLY! We need to be as ANIMATED as possible, but as QUIET as possible so all can hear the music on the portable boombox. Once the camera has passed your area, go to the back parking lot quickly, but safely and LOOK UP – the drone will pan down to reveal the whole school together as one.
Please decide how you want to be represented on November 14th
You could represent:
- Any one of your sports teams
- Any of your clubs
- Any of your performing arts
- Any of your elective classes (AVID, Virtual Enterprise, Auto, Yearbook, Art, etc)
- A student proud to be a Vaquero
On the day of the Lip Dub, wear your uniform and/or bring your sports/music equipment. Bring your club poster/props representing your club or organization. As Staff and Spirited Student Body, dress in Vaquero Pride colors or wear a shirt representing your course.
