The curriculum is aligned to the CA CTE Model Curriculum Standards and Career Ready Standards for the Sector Information and Communication Technologies and Software & Systems career pathway.
This course focuses on the foundations of various aspects of the Internet, including World Wide Web, E-mail, FTP, ethics, copyrights Internet environments, and the development of basic website development skills, including HTML, CSS, page builders, and JavaScript.
Objectives
Students will learn and understand how the Internet works and how to utilize various resources available on the Internet
Students will learn and understand ethical and legal considerations of the Internet.
Students will learn how to apply web site concepts.
Students will learn how to utilize a web host.
Students will learn how to create web sites using HTML, CSS, and utilize page builders.
Students will post websites on the Internet.
Students will develop an understanding of utilizing JavaScript
Students will be introduced to a server, database, website relationships.
