Chromebooks or Bring your Own Device- All students are required to bring a school issued Chromebook or a personal laptop to school every day. The device should be charged each night by the student. If you still need to check out a Chromebook, please stop by the library between 8-4:15 daily with your ID card to check one out. IUSD offers insurance for families for school issued Chromebooks- click HERE if you are interested.

What is Flex Time?- Flex time occurs 3 times per week for 30 minutes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This is a time for students to get extra help from their teachers, work with peers on class projects, seek help with life skills such as job or college applications, makeup assignments/quizzes/tests, and complete work with a teacher nearby who can provide assistance. Students were trained on logging in to the Flex Time web application. To view the training- click here to view. Students are required to attend flex time and attendance is taken. This applies to students with an open 1st or 2nd period.

Online FREE Tutoring: Paper Tutoring allows high school students to receive live tutoring, 24/7. Paper can also help with essay writing support by reviewing essays in under 24 hours with feedback on how to improve your grammar, content, and structure, and is available for any subject. Senior Pictures: Class of 2022!!! South Coast Photographic is the official photographer for Irvine HS Senior Yearbook Photos. You must have a photo taken at SCP in order to appear in the 2022 yearbook. Please click HERE for more information. Assistance is available for the Yearbook Only Session. Please see Mrs. Molina in the upstairs office.

 

Makeup School & ID Card Photos: Did your student miss getting their photo taken and do not have an ID card? Well, you're in luck! Makeup photos will be taken on September 7th in the Irvine High School theater before school, open 1st and 2nd period students, break, and lunch between 12:10 and 12:40pm. All students MUST have an ID card while attending school.

Back to School Night- will be held virtually on September 14th. After 5pm a link will be sent for you to view our teachers presentations.

Traffic/Student Safety:

  • Bike riders aged 18 and under; and scooter, skateboard and in-line/roller skate riders aged 18 and under are REQUIRED to wear helmets. The youth helmet law applies to riding a bicycle on a street, bikeway, sidewalk, or public bike path. Students that do not wear a helmet are subject to being cited by the Irvine Police Department.

  • Student drop off/pick up must take place in the front parking lot (located off of Walnut Avenue) or the back parking lot (located off of Escolar). Do not drop off/pick up students off of Escolar, Ravenwood, or in front of the Woollett Aquatics Center. The Irvine Police Traffic Enforcement Unit will be enforcing all traffic/safety laws before, during, and after school hours during school days.

  • NO LEFT TURN! Need to make a left turn from Escolar onto Walnut to go home? If so, this important reminder is for YOU! From Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm, there is a NO LEFT TURN. Vehicles that decided to make the turn during this time are subject to citation by the Irvine Police Department.

  • Student Parking: Student parking permits will be issued to students early September. Student drivers are able to park in unmarked spaces in either the front or back parking lot during this time. Parking enforcement will go into effect once parking permit stickers have been distributed. Thank you.
