Dual Enrollment

IVC Dual Enrollment Classes 


Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) and Irvine Valley College (IVC) partner to offer Dual Enrollment courses to IUSD students during the fall semester, spring semester, and summer.  Some examples of Dual Enrollment classes offered on IUSD campuses are: ASL 21 & 22, Japanese 1 & 2, Communication Fundamentals, Biochemistry for Health Sciences, Intro to Business, Introduction to Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, and Data Analytics Fundamentals. 

What is Dual Enrollment?

  • IVC classes offered on an IUSD campus either during the school day, online or after school.
  • IVC classes taught by IVC professors.
  • Classes that allow high school students to earn college credit, many classes transferable to both UC and CSU.  Students begin their college transcript with these classes.
  • Students interested in Dual Enrollment should visit the IUSD Dual Enrollment/ Early College Credit and/or see their Irvine High School Counselor for additional information.
