HIGH SCHOOL PLANNING CONFERENCE (January-March)
All sophomore students will have a High School Planning Conference. The High School Planning Conference will include an academic review, high school planning, and post-secondary goals. We will also introduce NAVIANCE FAMILY CONNECTION, a navigation and tracking web site to support academic, career and personal planning for ALL students.
During the month of February, all students will be participating in a High School Planning Conference during their Monday Teacher Advisement (1:30PM).
February 1st - High School Planning Conference Video including information about graduation and a-g requirements, resources at Irvine High, career exploration and college planning. Students will also access and begin their HS Planning Worksheet. This will be shared via google docs with parent and counselor.
February 8th - Course Planning and Completion of HS Planning Worksheet.
February 22nd - Completion of HS Planning Worksheet, Q and A Session and Post Survey
Mondays during March - Students and parents can make an appointment with their assigned counselor for follow-up questions. We look forward to meeting with you and your students in this virtual format to plan for the rest of high school.

PreACT March 2021
Registration Window 1/18/21-1/29/21
Who: This test is ONLY for 10th grade students interested in preparing for the ACT college entrance test. This is an OPTIONAL testing opportunity.
What: Pre ACT. Like the ACT, it measures the knowledge and skills in reading and math students learn in the classroom—the same knowledge and skills your student needs to succeed in college and career. The test has an hour pre-administration section and the test is two hours and 10 minutes long.
Where: Irvine High School
When: Saturday, March 6th, 2021 8:00am – 11:30am (plan to arrive by 7:45am)
Cost: $14 Nonrefundable. If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, you can take the test for free! Just email Mrs. Klamberg a copy of your free or reduced lunch letter at AmyKlamberg@iusd.org.
