Crime Scene Investigation (CSI)

The following one-semester ROP course meets the UC/CSU Preparatory Elective “G” requirement.
Learn the importance of physical evidence in solving crimes, elements of fingerprinting, how to perform a gunshot residue test, evidence collecting and processing methods, and the use of forensic light source technology. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of effective communication and interpersonal skills, professional development, strong academic skills, problem solving, safety, and the use of technology.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Administration of Justice course required.
Fire Science 101

The following one-semester ROP course meets the UC/CSU Preparatory Elective “G” requirement.
Explore career opportunities in fire protection and fire safety for people and property. This class is for the student seriously considering a future career in the fire service as it articulates with Santa Ana College's Fire Technology 101 for 3 college credits. Fire Technology is not required although highly recommended. Class will meet on either Mondays or Tuesdays depending on instructor's fire department work schedule. Calendar of class meeting dates will be provided at the first class session. Dark blue pants and dark blue shirt required.
